Hi, I am on warfarin 4mg per day. I have two clots in my calf. Can I take st john's wort herbal tablet whilst on the warfarin. I was diagnosed with dvt on the 4 nov 2003, then had the leg doplar scanned on dec 17 2003, only to find the clots are still there. Do they go away and how long should I stay on the warfarin. I had been told to stop the tablets the day before the scan, then told to go back on them. I am so totaly confused and upset. I don't understand, will I be okay? I am also going through menopaus and was taken off premarin (eostrogen). I am suffering with the horrible hot flushes and mood swings. What can I take that won't interfere with warfarin. I am desperate, can you help.
