Q: Taste Disturbance On Tegretol.

Hi i'm recently diagnosed with epilepsy. Now about 6-7 weeks in on treatment (tegretol). I haven't been able to taste anything for about 10 days now. My gp can't help me and I have to wait up to 2 weeks before my specialist can let me know anything. Has anyone else experienced this and if so is it the medication and how long might it last? :? I am rapidly losing weight as food is very boring and sometimes very bitter tasting. :cry: please help!
