Q: Can One's Hormones Change So Rapidly?

I'm 20 and a virgin. I've been masturbating once a day. I feel horny and erection quality is superb on some days(2-3 days every 1-2 weeks), but am impotent (can't get an erection or can't keep it) on others. I tried laying off masturbation on horny days, or masturbating even more...Nothing worked. I'm dead sure it's not phychological or anything since I do the same things every day, have the same stress, and watch the same porn. Everything is the same every day. I can't think of anything outside my body that makes a difference. Could hormonal disorders account for this? Or any other guesses?

Are you on any medication? Do you have a constant exercise and eating plan?

Some people's hormones just change faster (and others slower) than others...

It's nothing really out of the ordinary, but if you're really worried, go see your doctor.....

I've seen two docs and all they said was that psychological bs...
What I mean is weird is that nobody, including me, knows why this would happen. And nobody seems to have been in similar situations as mine.

i don't really believe that it's completely mental, although it could be somewhat....

Cd, you were saying that it might a nerve problem based on the numbness. Could that explain why i'm potent some days and not the others?

it very well could. Since the nerves might not be functioning properly, they may not be sending data back to your brain correctly and thus you might not be as arroused or have difficulty keeping an erection. But it might be ok sometimes and not others, thus explaining why sometimes you do you have problems and sometimes you don't.

I didn't have any sex drive at all the past week..Haven't masturbated for 6 days. But I caught a cold a few days ago which may be playing a role...I'll see what happens.

Do you ever feel tired daily or just not very energetic?

Try doing regular exercise and get fit. Although you might not look unhealthy everyones metabolisms are different so you can stil be slim but unfit.

Increasing your fitness boosts your energy levels amzingly. Try it for a few months and see how you feel. You need energy to get an erection, the more you have the better the erection you can get.

Hope this helps

:)

No I never feel tired. I've always been energetic before and after this erection problem started, although I don't exercise much. I don't notice any differences in my body or my lifestyle from before.

Ok. I'm trying zinc 22.5 mg a day with the multi-vitamin supplement I got. Should I completely refrain from masturbating during the time I take it?

it's up to you, considering that I wouldn't recommend taking it just to improve your erection. Did you consult your doctor?

He said he hadn't heard about zinc being related to erections, but it wouldn't hurt to try taking supplements, since zinc (when not overdosed)is absolutely safe.

Yeah, I didn't think so. Just make sure that your doctor thinks it's okay, then give it a try if you so desire.
