Hi guys I finally know whats causing my
swallowing problems, I have been through a
nightmare for 2 months, have not been able
to eat solid foods and have been living on
ensure shakes yuck!
The 2nd ent doc did a scope on me and
finally told me what I have he said I have
laryngopharyngeal reflux, and thats why I
cant swallow food and have such bad ear
pain etc... This amazes me the fact that
this can cause so many symptoms even
worsens asthma and gives a bad cough which
I have had my goodness this is crazy, I
didnt even belive my doc when he told me
this but when I got home and read it
online I was shocked, and as soon as I
took nexium I noticed a big difference.
This condition often goes misdiagnosed,
imagine my fatsro doc did an endoscopy and
didnt even figure this out.. An ent doc
had to figure it out...Aghh
anyway here are the symptoms listed below,
alot of my other symptoms were clogged up
ears and as soon as I took 2 nexium pills
about 3 hrs later I felt a change my
throat feels better, and today I dont feel
clogged up but since its been irritated
for so long I still have problem
swallwoing, but it has improved immensely,
by teh way if you have high blood pressure
make sure to ask your doc is nexium is
good for you, since I have low blood
pressure and it raised it up alot for a
whole day while on it, so make sure you
are aaware of this side effect, also you
can use zantac or prilosec for this which
are over the counter.
Oh I also had a canker sore in my mouth
and I never had these before all due to
this horrible acid reflux amazing!
Here is a list of the symptoms, by the way
I also get apnea and wake up gasping for
air that kept me awake last night isnt it
amazing how acid can just mess your life
up
continual throat clearing
chronic throat irritation
chronic cough
hoarseness
excessive phlegm the throat
dysphagia (difficulty swallowing)
constant sensation of something in the
throat
swallowed food comes back up
post nasal drainage
weak voice
cracking voice
blockage of the breathing passage
spasm of the larynx (voice box)
wheezing
heartburn
recurrent mouth ulcers: these are
particularly common when the patient has
an associated burning in the mouth.
Gerd /lpr may also cause globus
pharyngeus, a chronic sensation of a lump
in the throat -- without any physical
findings. This can be so serious in some
patients that it prevents them from eating
on a regular basis, resulting in weight
loss. Treatment of mild gerd typically
involves over-the-counter anti-acids.
More severe cases may require prescription
medication, or even surgery. In
addition, a new, non-operative endoscopic
technique has been tested and may be
appropriate for selective patients.
Thanks god that my prayers have helped me
find what was wrong because I was at the
brink of losing my mind, anyway I will
order that today thanks for the suggestion
I hope it helps but today I feel pretty
good and my throat does not feel clogged
up at all, and my ears are fine today
after so much ear pain/clogged up ears
hope this helps god bless
