Hi everyone, ill start off about my story of my varicocele,

i remember when I was about 12 I first felt/saw it, and being that age I thought I was going to die or something, but I told my dad after about a year and went to the doctors, I got put on a list and got the operation done when I was 13/14. The operation took about a month to completly get over, and the veins went from a load of them to none! That was for the first year, after that I felt the veins coming back, and also the pain, and the pain was worse!

Now im 17 I have read up on varicocele embolisations and how they work much better than the open surgery, I am on the list for that and wont have the op for a long time by the seems of it!

Im just on here to share my experience of it, because for me the pain is horrible and a few times its left me in unbearable pain in the stomach.

When I wear tight trowsers/run/stand up or do anything my left testicle and lower stomach still hurts, and it stops me from playing football which I really want to do! What ive noticed is short bursts dont affect it much, but when I have to run and run and run it hurts so badly and I have to stop!

Most of the time the pain goes from the left side all the way up to my nipple, and also it hurts on the right sometimes.

The thing I dont understand about it is when I drink fizzy drinks especially coke it really hurts my testicle and stomach, I dont know why this is, does anyone else have the same thing?

Well thats all I can say for the moment that I can think about, please reply with your thoughts.

I will have to ask when I go next to the doctors, hopefully by then they can do the embolisation and get rid of it once and for all!
