Hi everyone I am new to this website. My name is tara and I am from massachusetts. This past year, I have been switching birth control brands and forgetting to take my pill a lot. I am 21 years old but have been having signs of early menopause. I have been experiencing hot flashes, night sweats, vaginal dryness, skin changes and dryness, mood swings, internal shaking, and chronic fatigue. I was wondering if anyone knew if screwing up my birth control pills could have sent me into perimenopause?... Thanks a bunch...

No birth control pills do not cause premenopause. But birth control pills can cause hot flashes ect.... Especially if you are missing pills a lot! You see, the hormones going up and down and up and down will cause hot flashes and mood swings. Perhaps something like nuva ring may suit your needs better.
