Hey! I`m 13 years old (14 in 4 months). I`m laney. I`m dying to get preg but my dad said he would send me off to an underage preg home. I`m scared but still want a baby. I want peoples opinions who went through this or had a baby as a teen.

Help!

<3 bye

Having a baby is a huge life changing responsibility. Do you really think you are ready? Babies arent just cute little things all the time. They keep you up at night and poop thier diapers. They also cost a lot of money. Do you have a job and insurance to take care of your baby? Maybe you could just babysit for someone if you feel the need to be around a baby. In my opinion 14 years old is a baby. I think maybe you should wait until you are older, have an education, and a supportive husband.

I sound like a parent and this will sound like a lecture, but you will not be doing any favors for any baby you have at your age. You need to think about what is best for the baby and not what you want before you have one. If you have a baby now, you will be handing that child a disadvantaged life from the get - go. Even if you are mature for your age, you are not mentally, or emotionally mature enough to care for a baby the way a baby needs to be cared for. Taking care of a baby is hard even when you have independent financial and emotional support - which you don't have. Rethink this. You have so much life to live before you have children. Keep this feeling in your heart and when you are really ready, you wil be a great mom.

Please!!!!
You have got to be kidding me. You are only 13. When I was 13 I didn't think about sex or much about boys. You need to get some professional help. Maybe you need to talk to someone about your urges to have a baby. You need to live you life before you decide to give it up. You also have no right coming to this forum where adult women are having difficulty concieving and all you are concerned about is getting sent away to a teen parent house. This is not a joke. You wont be playing house. You cant just have a baby play mommy for a while and then decide that is just too much for you. You really need to get your priorities straight. Wait till you have graduated high school, get a college education, and meet a wonderful man who you will love and have childern with. Don't throw your life away.

Where was your dad when you were writing that?! You are too young to even be on this site, and too young to be exposed to this type of information much less have a baby! Go and be young, have fun. I spent most of my teen years trying to be an adult, I regret it.

Your body isn't even finished developing. My little cousin just had a baby at 15 and she and the baby almost died because of complications.

You think you are lonely now? If you have a baby you will have to spend all your time taking care of the baby. You won't have time to be with your friends.

Also, how do you plan to pay for your baby's food, clothing and medicine? You are too young to have a job. And who will take care of the baby while you are at school? A newborn baby has to be watched 24 hours a day.

I am also concerned that you say you feel very lonely. Is there a counselor or someone else that you could speak to about that? Having a baby won't make you feel less lonely, but there are ways to deal with your loneliness, if you can talk about it.
