Q: Important Question

I had unprotected sex in august 2003 (2 years ago). Since about 4 months ago (august 2005) I started feeling a little different.

1. I can't digest my food properly. I burp all the time. I have upset stomach specially after eating anything.
2. I have a sour taste in my mouth all day long. Specially after having something acidic or citrous.

Can someone please tell me if this is a case of simple heartburn (i have really neglected excercise and started eating a lot of spicy food) or something to do with hiv ? Is it possible to have heartburn everyday/ night after meals ?

Thanks !!

I had a friend that had something similar to this; you should definitely go and visit your doctor!

Hi cd998776
can you please tell me more about your friends condition ? I am really really worried now. You say something similar. How similar is that ?
I would like to tell you what happened. First of all I am a male. The unprotected sex lasted for about 5 seconds. I did not ejacuate at all.And I did it only once in my life. Does that lower the chances ? I have tonsilitis since I was a kid and they get swollen up every year during the winter time. So taht doesn't help either. I know only a doctor and a hiv test can tell for you .. But ... Please help me out with more information.
Thank you

well, I can't remember the exact condition she had, but she had constant stomach achs, couldn't digest food, and constantly had to use the restroom. It turned out to be a problem with her small intestine; it wasn't hiv related at all. I don't know how bad your conditions are, but I noticed they were some similarities...

not directly, no.

If you're really worried, it wouldn't hurt to go to your doctor and get checked out just to be sure...
