Q: Head Shakes from stress ?

My head will jerk like i'm shaking my head to say "no". It doesn't do it all the time, but sometime more often than others. I have no control over it, but I can feel it when it happens and people notice it. My neck is very tight and i've tried massage therapy to see if that would help. It did, but only briefly. I've tried chiropractic adjustments and they too helped, but it did not stop. It seems to be getting worse, more often and more pronounced. If I hold my head down I can feel the tightness in my neck (mostly the right side) and my head will really shake. It also seems to be worse at night. My dad's head does the same thing but I don't know any details. Does anyone have any idea what this is caused from or what I can do about it? It isn't painful, just annoying and embarassing. Thanks

I get the exact same thing. I'm guessing it's from prolonged stress, and maybe has something to do with my forward posture. Did the chiropracter say anything to you about forward posture. If so theres some exercises you can do to strengthen that area.
