I'm having a bit of a struggle with my birth control options. I am on the patch and it has worked good for me so far but I am concerned about the new stories about its dangers. I want to try the ring but I am squeamish about taking it out or it falling out during sex. I have tried ortho lo and it gave me crazy mood swings! I dont want to do the iud, the idea of it freaks me out. Does anyone have any suggestions??

I love my iud, 10 years of great birth control. If the ring falls out during sex, you just put it back in when you are done. You need to put it back within 3 hours to keep protection going, but the ring only fell out of my friend 3 times in the whole month she used it. It does stay in place well :)

Question For Carifairy
Hi- I was just wondering which iud you have & how long u have had it?
I am considering going with the paragard, but am scared of the pain when it is put in...Could you help me out any?
I definitely don't want to go with the mirena on account of the hormones in it...I am sick & tired of hormones & want to go with a nonhormonal method. Thanks!
