Can you catch hiv from fingering a vagina. I had no cuts on my fingers but did have some layer of skin missing at the top by my finger nail (not bleeding or oozing puss, very minor, hardly noticable).

Another incident same woman used finger this time no cuts, scratches but had a tiny amount of menstral blood under fingernail.

Do I have any concerns?

This is driving me mad with worry!!!!!!!!!!!!! :( :(

You can never say never, but some of her bodily fluids would have had to have made direct contact with your blood stream.... I suppose that if you had not cuts or anything it's less likely, but your skin has a number of different breaks around and under the nail that could be enough to allow her bodily fluids to make contact with your bloodstream. Do I think it's likely though based on what you described? No.

Why would you be fingering someone you thought (or knew) had .H.I.V??

Or are you concerned if she might have .H.I.V?? I dont understand??!!

There is such a big concern about .H.I.V these days I would hate to be young again. Many of us old farts stay with our azholes just to keep from being back in the world of uncertainty and fear about getting .Aids. It is horrible, and I wouldnt want to be in any of you children's shoes. Well, I dont think you said how old you are--but I am thinking...Since you asked such a question you are under 25--to me you are still a kid.

Thanks
Thanks for your comments guys,

i'm still a little worried but I have read on other sites that no-one has ever reportedly contracted hiv from fingering. This is reassuring considering the billions of people that must have indulged in this activity and had breaks in the skin around the fingernails and not contracted anything.

Once again thanks for replying and feel free to add any other comments you may have.

If you're worried, just wait the 3 months then go get tested.

the important question here is if you believe this person has hiv. If not, I would suggest that you seriously relax. The chance that this girl is hiv positive, and that you contracted hiv through fingering, is quite low.

if you know this person is hiv infected, then i'd suggest coming up with a different plan. Get more info and figure out what you should/shouldn't be doing.

Still not pasting correctly. The forum keeps changing the case. Anyway, on the top, click "ask the experts", then scroll down to "safe sex and hiv prevention".

Yeah it kind of was but I mean if you were that worried about contracting hiv from fingering you could go by the "no glove, no love" policy literally.
