Hello, I am about dpo (day after ovolution) 16 today, and at dpo 11, I feel fatigue, nipple sore and sensitive, so I took a pregnancy test, it was negative. And at the dpo 13 morning, I took one more, it shown a very very faint line until I have to ask my hubby to check if there is a line. In order to make sure I take one more at the same night (cannot wait - we are trying to conceive for the first one). I read the result after 1 minute. Not more then 5 minutes. And it came out same as the morning result - very very faint positive line. Again I take it on dpo15 night, with other brand , also a very faint line. Today is dpo 16 and I will take one tomorrow morning before I go for gyno on monday which would be dpo 19.

I heard that " a line is a line" anybody have the same experience?

Hey
I found out I was pregnante this sunday and had it confirmed just yesturday. (im 5 weeks *yay*) when talking to the nurse who was going over things with me I explained that one of the lines on one of mine was faint..And she herself said "a line is a line..If you see it @ all..Ur pregnante" ..But I had also taken the digital 4 times too that said pregnante because like yourself...I questioned taht faint line. So good luck to you, and I hope were right :)!

When I had my daughter the line was very faint and my partner was covinced it wasn't there. I rang the manufacturer and they said even a faint line shows a detection of hcg and that I was definatley pregnant.
2 days later I did another test and 2 dark lines showed up.

I'd say from my expereince that you are pregnant. Please let us know

Your Prego!!!
Just to confirm what everyone has experinced!

The test checks for certain hormones with out detection no line at all ( or the test way of saying neg.).
I have never heard of any one truly getting a positve when they were not.

Congragulations! :d

it really is exciting!

You're pregnant!!!! :d

congratulations!!!

The faint line means that it's most likely in the very early stages.

Very same thing happened to me.

Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Get to a doctor soon. You will see!

So happy for you!

I just took a test and I think there may be a faint line. Should the line be immediately under the top line? This line is a bit further doen. Maybe I should try another brand? Thanks

Congratulations Your Pregnant!
I too had the same experience... I did several hpt all came back negetive but I was testing too early and the hormone levels were not strong enough to be picked up at just over 3 weeks! Tested early this morning and I got a "postive" result. I am now 4 weeks pregnant.
My result was excatly like yours very faint line which of course I questioned even ringing the manufacture of the pregnancy test.
Yes I line is a line....

Congratulations to you.
Big hugs from australia!

Exactly. A line is a line.

A faint line sometimes indicates lower hormone levels, but... A line is a line!

I took a pregnancy test 1 day before my period, and got a very faint line. I still was not convinced so I went and bought a digital pregnancy test. The first time it said pregnant. The next day I took the other one just to make sure and it said the same thing pregnant. I went to the clinic and took a urine test and they said it was negative! Dont know whats going on?? Already about 6 days late.

A line is a line.
Even if its faint and hard to see, its a line.
And a positive result.
If your still skeptic, go to a doctor and ask for a confirmation that you are pregnant, explain that you took a pregnanct test and got a faint like, but would like a blood test to be done to better determine whether or not your 100% pregnant.

My daughter took an hpt and the first line was dark second very faint almost couldnt see it. however, she just had her implanon implant removed a week ago and immediately started birth control pills. i heard that the implant contains the hormone that convinces your body your pregnant. could it be that the test is picking up these hormones and she in fact is not really pregnant.

Hi, my name is Staci and I am new to this site but have been doing a lot of research. I am possibly pregnant and have taken four pregnancy tests and all of them have a very very very faint line on them where the positive line would normally show. On a couple of them it's hardly there (but def visible). My cycle is normally irregular and I'm not ttc but not "not ttc" either. When the time is right, it will happen. I keep reading about the evaporation lines, etc., but I'm not so sure that would happen on three different tests. I took two tests in two days and saw a neg result. After a couple hours, I went to throw them away and I saw very faint lines on both. It says after ten min the test is invalid so I got two more. Three days later, I took them (one at night) same thing, and one the next morning and I immediately saw the faint line only this time it was a plus sign so it was a little different but still a very faint line. I am waiting for the weekend to end so I can just go to he doc but clearly I need blood work because assume their tests will do the same thing. What is going on? Am I pregnant...or not?

Hi Staci,
I hope that everything is going ok for you & that you've got a little one on the way!

I'm going through the same thing at the moment too. I've done about 5 tests & am getting a faint second line too. I went to the doctor who said that I was pregnant & that you cannot have a false positive test as it isn't possible. However the results of my blood test have come back negative. I'm having another blood test in 3 days to re-assess my results as I've had pregnancy symptoms. I'm so confused at the moment :/
