Hi guys,
ive been battling a guitar related injury on the top of my wrist for almost 7 months now. At first it was tendonitis from playing the guitar too much, then that went away and a small ganglion cyst formed on the top of the wrist. On october 20 I got the cyst removed surgically, and for the past few weeks ive been going to therapy to increase movement from the ganglion removal and reduce scar tissue. This brings me to my point...Its been nearly 2 months since the surgery, and even though I have been doing the up and down, side to side, and strenthening excercises, as well as rubbing the surface of the scar to deplete the scar tissue in the area on the top of the wrist (which is the cause of the hindered movement), it feels as if no progress or very very little progress has been made in removing the scar tissue. I use the wrist for things that arent too taxing like opening doors/etc. But after playing the guitar for only 20 minutes the wrist starts to hurt again and feels very tight!!! It feels like ive made so little progress and the scar tissue will just stay there. Does anyone have any scar tissue healing techniques, or other movement excercises that will speed up this ridiculous process?
