Hello,
i am new to this forum but find it very helpful so far. I was diagnosed with svt when I was 18, now 33. I was also diagnosed with wpw last year while having an anxiety attack and was in the er and they noticed this on my ekg. I am scheduled for a consult next week with a specialist for the ablation surgery. As I have heard many experiences, it seems the good over rule the bad. I wanted to know if the scarring effects the heart at all and what besides blot clots could be the most dangerous thing to happen? As I have panic disorder as well, do any of you feel I should be totatlly put out or do you feel being heavily sedated would be okay. If any of you are not aware panic disorder is when all of a sudden your heart races for no apparent reason except anxiety and you feel shortness of breath because you are hyperventilating. They say staying awake may be more safe as we all know there are more risks when you are put out. I am nervous but rather get this done then take medication or something really bad happen. Thanks for the info, nervous one in maine!
