How do family members help a bipolar
person? This particular person can't seem
to hold a job for more than a few months
at a time. This person takes their
medicine regularly, ( I think), but seems
incapable of making any other life style
changes like diet or exercise that might
help reduce symptoms.
They have not applied for disability.
Are family members supposed to just keep
paying the bipolar person's bills? Or,
should we all pull back and let them loose
their house and destroy their credit with
past due utility bills?
No one in the area seems to be able to
help. Every time public agencies get
involved things get worse.
Any advice?

Hi, I have just been diagnosed and just
started risperdal. I must say before
taking this drug I was the same. My sleep
patterm would range from sleeping way to
much, to not sleeping at all for weeks.
My diet was also bad, ranged from living
off take out junk food, to not eating at
all. This drug has helped me immensly and
I have only been taking it 2 weeks. The
past week my sleep pattern is normal
(sleep 8 hours a night get up in the
morning) and I have also been eating
regular and healthy. This is the first
time in years I have a stable body rhythm.
You might want to suggest this drug, its
generic name is rispiridone

Just stay with him, in my opinion if he
needing money he should file for ssd
income. It doesn't sound like he stable
at all but that just my opinion.
Is he seeing his therapist and doctor
regulary? Is he going to any support
groups? This web site helps me out. Www.Bipolarcenteral.Com
