Does Anyone Have Some Advice For Me Please? Posted: 12-13-05 14:02pm
I have been spotting very light for 14
days it started on 11-31-05 and my cylcle
wasnt due until the 5th of december. Has
anyone else experienced this and if so
what happen. Any suggestions will be a
great help.

Liz,
how long is your normal cycle? It could
be spotting, or implantation bleeding.
14 days does sound a little long. You
might want to go to the doctor or take a
hpt.
Ivillage:
how can I tell the difference between an
early period and implantation bleeding?
I would suspect implantation bleeding if
it occurs a bit earlier than expected, if
it were scanty, spotty, pinkish and not
red and heavy like a period, and does not
follow the normal pattern of a period
(light to heavy to light).
The bbt should remain elevated and not
decline to preovulatory levels.
There is often the feeling that it is a
period with light cramps and bloating, but
the bleeding is shorter, lighter and just
not normal.
If a woman is usually regular, and now all
of a sudden develops this type of early
spotting, and of course is "at risk" for a
pregnancy, I would strongly suspect
conception.

My normal cycle is 5-7 days. I am so
scared to try another test because I am
let down every time and it depresses me
and I dont want to disappoint myself
again. But yes the spotting was about a
week earlier than my normal period.
Also, I was wondering if implantation
bleeding last more than 2-3 days. The
spotting I had was off and on, but it was
so light I just wore a liner everyday and
it never became close to full. But thank
you for your help I really do appreciate
it.

i was happy to help. I dont like to take
hpt either. I hate getting all excited
and then let down. I hope all works out.

Liz,
go and see a doc for a blood test. I had
those spotting stuff before. If it is
dark brown, it is not implantation
bleeding. Cos my period came after that .
Yeah, I know all the frustrations going
thru' testing and see the neg. Results.
It is depressing...:(
