I got off of ortho novum, after taking it for only 3 months because of major mood swings. I had a period right after getting off of it, when I was not supposed to, and then did not have another for 3 months. I gained a little weight, about 5-10 pounds, and I was not doing anything different, so it must have been from the pills. Other than that I was extremely happy because the mood swings left, but now I am on another pill. Hope this helped!
