the urine tests at the doc take just as long or even shorter than a home test...and are a bit more accurate so chances are if its neg you arent pregnant (depending on when or if you missed your period)

blood tests are extremely accurate. if youve missed your period and you get a neg, you prob are not pregnant...the results come back that day or the day after

blood test are hard to tell, one type says yes or no measuring at 52u, and one tells the exact amount of hcg, if it isn't above 25u they say its negative but it depends on the women or the pregnancy some women just have low hcg levels. so no they are not always accurate. go back and see if there is an increase the next day most the time it will double. Sometimes you need to go back a week later my friend should nothing untild 3 months even with both blood test and hpt's

Tayic - was there any explanation as to why nothing showed up until 3 months??? I took a urine test today and it came back negative but my period hasn't shown itself in 41 days I go back to the doctor tomorrow and maybe then I'll ask for a blood test???
