Hi all -

on wednesday night, the condom my boyfriend and I were using broke. I am not on birth control (soon will be, trust me). Thursday afternoon, we went to planned parenthood and I took the plan b morning after pill.

The nurse said that I might get my period on time, later, earlier, not at all (basically, every possible combination of timing). I should be getting my period soon, and am nervous that if I don't get it I might be pregnant. I didn't experience the nausea and discomfort that most people experience, with the exception of some abdominal tenderness. I am afraid that the pills won't work!

Unfortunately, since I am extremely athletic and (at 18) my body is still changing, my periods are sometimes irregular.

Judging from the research i've done and the timing of my last period, I think that I should have ovulated a weeks or so before I had sex with my boyfriend.

Does anyone have any thoughts, words of wisdom, or comfort?

Thank you

ana

An early pregnancy test can give you the answer to your question very accurately. If you were supposed to ovulate a week before you had sex, and the egg dies after 48 hours, then pregnancy chances would be slim.. As long as your condoms did not break in any earlier sexual acts.
