I'm sorry everyone, but I have to vent a little. I read a couple of posts about people who didnt know what to do, and in every post I read people only considered 2 options. Then an older post I read one girl was saying her mother was going to force her to do adoption (which you can't), and some people told her in more or less words that adoption was a negative way to go. I want to know why people think that???? There are more than two options there are actually four options available to people now a days.
1) parent the baby
2)abortion
3) open adoption (private adoption)
4) closed adoption (government adoption)
why in the heck do people go the route of abortion??? Now I ask this from experience, because I got pregnant at 15 years old, and I didn't have the means to support a baby. So I instantly thought of abortion (which I am 100% against), but sitting talking to an old friend she began to talk to me about adoption after that I was curious about it. So I learned alot about open adoption, closed adoption, government adoption and private adoption. I realized there is more options available than people think. And each one has different negatives and positives.
I would also like to say that adoption isnt a bad thing. Yes it is hard, but its a lot better than not giving the baby all that he/she deserves. Especially when you know you can't do it (not saying all young girls cant do it). Personally I went the open adoption route when I was 15. I still see her and she knows who I am, and the best part is I helped a couple who couldnt conceive and had been trying for almost 10 years.
Im not promoting adoption or anything, but it frustrates me that alot of people don't consider it.
Everyone is entitled to there opinions, and I know some people are pro-life and pro choice, but I am not either of those.
Sorry for the vent everyone..Probably just cause I am pregnant and I can't stand the thought of abortion. So thanks for reading my post :p
