Q: Mid Back And Chest Pain

Hi,
i had a heart cath a couple of weeks ago because I was having some pain and pressure in my chest and have a strong family history of heart disease. The test showed that my heart is fine, but I still have pain and pressure in my chest. It starts under my left breast and seems like it goes all the way through to my middle back. I do have some diagnosed lower back problems and I was wondering, can something wrong in the mid back cause this kind of chest pain?

I have systemic lupus and have aches and pains all the time anyway, and since finding out this isn't a heart problem, it's been a lot easier to ignore. But it's still there nagging away. My whole spine hurts to some degree all the time and I began wondering if any of the nerves in the mid back affect the chest.

Thanks in advance for any advice,
marti
