Hi, recently i've been getting vaginal itching and discomfort. There is no strange discharge or smell and the itching is not only on the vaginal opening but also around the urethra area. I called my doctor, told them I suspect a yeast infection and they told me to try an over the counter treatment and if it persists, to then set an appointment. I have never had a yeast infection before so I was just wondering if it sounds like one, because I am unsure if the itching is supposed to also be near the urethra area. Thanks

I have had a couple before and from my experances the iching can really be anywhere down there. Just buy the over the counter meds and if it stops you know what it was lol

What to do to stop this?
Everytime I have intercource and I DO USE PROTECTION but however I always one a few days later do to the fact i am allergic to certain kinds/brands but I'd rather use one than not,and catch someting worse than a yeast infection
