I am an otherwise normal healthy 21 year old male, no medications, I dont smoke, I do drink on occaision in college. I get exercise just about every day, and I am in what would be considered very good shape. I have had a troubling pain in the lower left portion of my abdomen just above the pelvic bone, that is vague and stretches from what feels like my left side or back to a point just behind my belly button. I have actually felt the pain for about a couple years now. It is usually relieved by eating food. Pressing firmly just below my waistline and pushing inward on the lower left portion of my waistline tends to remove the pain. It is fairly constant but tends to be relieved when I lay down as well.

About a year ago I passed bright red blood, about enough to slightly moisten a tissue, but have since had no similar occurrence. I tend to urinate more frequently then my friends, but I am not sure if I simply have a faster metabolism or what. What would put pressure on the bladder? Occaisionally when I used the bathroom I have ribbon like stools, but at other times this does not happen at all.

Two more areas of concern; I have a what feels like a twisted muscle in my back, on the left side, just above my lower back. I am not sure if this is simply strain or an injured muscle, or it is related to the above. Also, if I push inward just to the left of my belly button, I can feel a pulse. I know that I am feeling my central aortic artery, but is it normal to be able to feel this pulse? I tend to think I am a little young and healthy to have an aortic aneurysm, but I am not sure. I have to push fairly hard to feel it, so that may be important to note.

One last thing, when I run I occasionally feel a nagging pain my stomach, similar to the same vague feeling that I get when I am sitting.

Sometimes all symptoms are absent, and again they are most aggravated when I am sitting for a period of time.

So what do you think I am dealing with? An ulcer, ibs, cancer, an aneurysm ...Something else? Do your worst, and please limit this to your best diagnosis, no doctor referrals, I know I should see one but I am not interested in heading down a direction like that at this time.

Thanks, dedicated.
