Q: appendix removed through surgery

I just had my appendix removed through surgery. Is it true that I shouldn't be sitting at times and just lie down all day? How long wil this 'post surgery sympton' affect me? I can hardly move right now...I have a tour to go in 2 weeks time.....Do you think i'll make it?
