Q: Could This Be Early Menapause

Hi,im 39 and for the last few periods ive noticed there longer,heavier and irregular,also lately ive seen blood clots while having periods,which are bright red,my hubby as noticed me being moody and down lately could this be the start of my menopause,i have a smear appointment next week and im going to mention it to the nurse.
