Q: Considering Breast Implants

I have been considering getting breast implants for some time now. Has anybody out there got them done recently? How was the pain afterwards? How long did it take to heal? You you regret it?

I had a baby back in april, and breastfed. They shrivelled up to nothing shortly after I stopped but seem to grow back slowly over time. I am not far from the size I was, but I hang to ground!!!! ( not really, but you know, there saggy!)

just wanted to make them firm and perky again, like they were when I was 18.

I really wanted breat implants, untill I found out you have to pay to get them redone every 10 years (93% of all breast implants rupture in 10 years). I will not get them done unless I know for sure i'll be able to afford to get them done every 10 years.

Hopefully that will happen one day=)

hey sammy,
i have the same problem that you do. I breastfed for a year and now I have saggy breasts. I don't want to have triple d's but I would like to feel like a woman and have my breasts more proportionate to my body.

My sister got breast implants about 6 years ago and she has been very happy with them. She snapped back pretty quickly but, i'm sure everyone is different in how they heal.

Best Thing I've Ever Done
I had two children and breast fed both of them so I know exactly how you feel. I got implants two years ago and I am completly satisfied, no regrets what so ever. Do your homework. Make sure you are getting a doctor w/ years of experience. I knew a few women who had the proceedure and used the same doctor they used. They too were happy w/ this doctor and totally happy with their new boobs. I strongly suggest you don't have the proceedure until you are done having children. Take care of your boobs because honestly they are your investment. Yes very painful afterwards. I had my proceedure on a wednesday and didn't go back to work until monday. My husband was a great help, let people help you. I slept in a sitting position for a few weeks and I remember how painful it was going from a laying position to a standing position. I was swollen from my neck down to my waist. I was bruised on my rib cage (i swear they droped me, ha ha) and very bruised on the breasts. Be very patient, do exactly what your doctor tells you, and listen to your body. I had my proceedure in april and by the end of may I was wearing a strapless dress and feeling great. It is the best thing i've ever done. My husband is extreemly happy too.

Sammy,
I got breast implants in july and I can't even begin to tell you how much I love them!!! I found an excellent doctor and had no real pain, more discomfort as if I had done hundreds of push-ups maybe. I had surgery on thurs and could have gone back to work monday if I had a desk-type job, but as I said, I found a wonderful surgeon who used a very gentle technique and had no bruising at all.
I can honestly say that it was the best decision I made. My only regret is that I didn't do it sooner. I hardly notice them now, but I still notice how much more confident and comfortable I am. And shopping has never been so much fun. I started with less than a's and now have small c's, so just trying on clothes and having them fit is worth it.
There are risks, and they do need to be replaced after about 10 years. I'm 23 now, so I figure i'll probably have kids, breastfeed, and need new boobs in 10 years anyway *wink*.
Good luck with your decision and feel free to pm me if you have any questions about my experience.
