Extremely eHealthy
Welcome! Did you tell the dr that you took the steroids? Do not do things that make it hurt for a while except the antibiotcs and call the dr and see what he says and keep bugging the dr and you can always get a second opinion.

Good luck!

Phophatidlycholine (lecithin) supplements may help - they've been shown to break down fat in the liver - don't take this as fact from me though, be sure to check the evidence on the internet before you decide to take them or not- although it appears to be pretty innocuous stuff (taken in moderation) - if you take milk thistle as well this may improve the effects

Liver Pain
Have you been tested for hepatitis c?
Many hep c patients complain of liver pain so you may want to get your doctor to test you for it.

Have you ever had any blood tests done?
I really think it's something you should have checked out.

Sometimes doctors have the attitude that if it isn't the first thing they thought of then it's nothing...Sadly they aren't always right.

You must push for a second (or third or fifteenth even) opinion.

Liver Bombs
I suffer from primary sclerocing chologitus(psc), I see a doctor in omaha ne, Dr. Sorrel. He's performed over 3,000 liver transplants and is regarded as one of the top docs in the world. Ask him. I too suffer from this dull pain you speak of, especially when I yawn. It's a strange pain under my right lower rib. I take milk thistle, vitamins, and drink lots of water. I also noticed when I do sit ups it kind of irritates the liver. I'll ask my doc and get back to you, but if you don't hear back, get a hold of me thrugh my email address.

Re: Beets
Hi danny,

first of all, sorry about your pain. It is hard living w/ any kind of pain. I have had all kinds of strange sensations and pains lately too and it is annoying! However, I will suggest a few things you may want to try. First of all, your liver will not tolerate mediations very well as it has to filter ( work) to get rid of the toxins in them. So I would try a non-medicated approach. I would suggest you go buy a juicer from your local wal-mart or other retailer. I use the juiceman jr. Go buy some beets and radishes. Then put them in your juicer. I would add an apple or two to sweeten it up a little along w/ a carrot. Do this for about a month every day 2x a day. So that equals 2 freshly made glasses of beet juice twice a day for a month. This should clear things up a little. Then, if you are ready you can move on to a liver flush. Goof luck!

liver pain
I get the same pain on the right side under my lower ribs and when it's bad it can irradiate toward the neck area. It seems to get better when I don't drink coffee.
I also agree with a previous post that fat in the liver, possibly due to too much alcohol consumption in the past, will make your liver misbehave whenever it has to deal with too much of a any given toxin that it has to cleap up. So getting rid of the "fatty liver" is probably the solution. Don't drink alcohold for a while as it inhibits the metabolism of fats.
