Designing For Someone With Schizophrenia....

Hi my name is james, I am an architecture student, and currently researching schizophrenia to understand my 'client' (a schizophrenic dancer) better. The brief is to design a small retreat for him or her at the beach. Not knowing anyone with schizophrenia myself I was wondering if any of you had some ideas of how to create a living space to help or at least suit schizophrenic characterisics...For example if there are certain colours,textiles or shapes that have effects on the mind or if the use of mirrors is not a good idea etc.

I would appreciate any suggestions.
