What affects will long term dental problems have on your health. I am so "chicken" to go to the dentist, I have several teeth that need extracted. These teeth get abcessed from time to time. My concerns are what am I doing to my health, is my immune system working alot of overtime with these bad teeth? Thanks for reading.

Problem teeth with a history of infection tend to get a little worse each time the infection flares up, not to mention the additional pain.

You risk contracting an oral infection, that has the potential to make you very ill.

More importantly, you will suffer in later life if you end up loosing a significant amount of teeth due to decay.

Go to the dentist. Get an assessment and then work towards addressing the problems overtime with a dentist that understands your concerns.
