Puppp (pruritic Urticarial Papules And Plaques) Posted: 12-02-05 00:59am
Has anyone in here ever had puppp? It
appeared on my arm yesterday after I took
a shower right when the arm bends. It is
very itchy I go to the doc on monday but I
was wondering if anyone in here knows of
anything I can do until then. And it's
kind of weird because I read up on puppp
and it said that it usually occurs in
women pregnant with their first child or
carrying twins. And I don't fit into
either one of those categories/ any advice
is great. Thanks in advance!

It sounds like you have excema, not puppp.
If it's just a patch of dryness on your
arm then that's prob what it is. Get
some aveeno cream.

I have puppp, and what you described
doesn't sound like it. Puppp is more
common in first time pregnancy and
multiples. But the odds of getting it are
like 1-200. It starts typically on the
abdomen, in strecth marks, and can
spread. It is very itchy, and doesn't
just go away, delivery seems to be the
only cure. Try some aveeno.
