Q: Preg Or Paranoid? Support And Prof. Advice Needed! Very Long

I think i'm just paranoid...But here's my story:

i'm 19 years old and I do not want kids. I'm in a very serious relationship with my boyfriend (just so everyone knows so I don't get comments about stds) i've been on yasmin for about 6-7 months now (my first ever bc) and i've been fine with it (no side effects). I have a regular period which comes on tue night/wed every week during my placebo pills and it ends saturday. My period has still been on the heavy side since starting the yasmin but I definitly improved. My boyfriend and I have are very sexually active and sometimes he uses a condom and sometimes he doesn't - it hasn't been a big deal to us since i'm take my bc within the same couple hours every morning.

Now my problem:

i got my period on the night of the nov. 22nd. But - my period was different this time...It was a lot lighter than i'm used to. I've never had a period that light in my whole life! It wasn't spotting though, it was an actual period just much lighter than i've ever experienced. Then was when I started considering being pregnant (which I do not want). I took a preg. Test while I still had my period on the 24th and it was negative. (prob too soon anyway)...And I was bloated a little more than i'm used too since i've been on bc.

So my period ended and i've been randomly feeling bloated, but I look bloated, and I have pain in my abdomen and it's worse in my belly button, but it's not severe at all, just slight pain when I push on it (and it feels hard when I push on it) (my bf and I have 'done the deed' the past four nights and when he lays onto top of me it hurts my abdomen (for him to put his weight on it) and I felt gassy and I could feel that I was letting out air (not a lot or anything, but some) and my abdomen just hurts.
Also, I lost weight a few months ago and went down a pant size, but now just recently i'm starting to go back up to my old size (but I also have been eating unhealthily and stuff).

I have been emotional the past couple months and recently stressed out (i moved unwantingly two days before my period started in november) but I don't think I felt stressed out enough to physically change my body, but i'm not sure. I feel more stressed out right now wondering if I could be pregnant than i've felt in the past month.
Like I said, I take my pill between 6-6:30 m-f and between 8-11(at the very latest) on the weekends and I have never missed a pill.

My symptoms that could be pregnancy are:
sleepiness (but then again i'm being tested for sleep apnea at the end of the month), peeing alot the past couple days (but like I said, I also have been having sex the past couple nights in a row), my abdomen hurts (bloated, crampy, it feels hard when you push on it), I also feel like i'm "wet" but i'm not too much and it's not colored (there is a tiny bit of a yellowish stain on my panties, but i've seen it happen before...I feel slightly naseous but I think thats from reading all these pregnancy symptoms online and being worried, lol. And my breasts are not swollen/tender/darker/etc! (that's the only thing i'm hoping is the sign i'm not pregnant!)

i'm sorry this is long, but I had to make sure I got in all the details.
I'm looking for feedback and advice preferrably from people with similar experiences. I'll probably buy a preg. Test tonight.

I do have one question though:
after researching all this online I read that when you ovulate you have that clear/white stretchy sticky stuff and I haven't had that since before i've been on bc...So does that mean I haven't ovulated? Or does that not always happen when you ovulate?

Thank you so much to whoever responds. I need some emotional support!!!

Hi there! I was also on bc when I got pregnant but I recon its got something to do with switching pills coz I was on yasmin at first but it gives me abdominal cramps and makes me feel dizzy so I switched to ovranette which is a lot better but I think it hampered my bc cycle=) however reading your story I dont think youre pregnant the symptoms that you are having is probably premenstrual syndrome as it is very similar to early pregnancy symptoms (such as bloating, craving weight gain, weight loss), this is because our hormones undergo changes during menstruation and pregnancy as well. Youve taken a test and it was negative right? Sometimes stress and anxiety causes menstruation to slow down or stop, my m8 used to stress a lot after havin sex thinking that she's preg but always turns out that she's not.

If youre still unsure take another hpt after 10 days.

Just chill out=)
good luck hope everything turns out fine

I'm feeling a lot better today. I really doubt i'm pregnant...I'm just paranoid. I'm going to get a pregnancy test today after work and use it tomorrow morning first thing. I think i've just been emotional and stressed, and worrying about being pregnant just makes it worse. Everytime I have a symptom of pregnancy I get scared. It's ridiculous, I know, but that's my ultimate worst-case scenario. I talked to my boyfriend last night and he said for now on we'll use condoms (and we usually use the ones with spermicide) so i'll have no reason to worry if we're using three birth controls!

I still have a slight fear that I could be pregnant just b/c i'm not feeling 100% and that my last period was the lightest i've ever had. I'll test tonight and then tomorrow morning with a hpt but i'd bet money that i'm just paranoid.

You probably are. I know I was a couple weeks ago and even though I got a neg. On my first test I was still paranoid and got a second one, also neg and then my period finally came. Good luck!

Do you mean "are" or "aren't" in your first comment? Because if you read it like it is, it sounds like you mean "aren't". Anyway...I still don't think I am...Now am I in denial? I don't know anymore...I read that getting a false positive hpt is very rare, but a false negative is common...So if it's positive, at least I know it's probably a sure thing...

its very common for women to be paranoid on getting pregnant...I personally think you'll gonna be alright=) I used to purchase a couple of hpt (all were negative results) before I could convince myself that im not pregnant. Sometimes birth control pills could mess up with your menses and like what I said on my first message stress and anxiety=)

Sorry princess, I meant to say you are paranoid. I just reread what I wrote and I wasn't really clear. I'm sorry. I'm pretty sure that you're not pregnant. It took me 3 negative tests and 2 periods to convince myself that I wasn't. Talk about paranoid! Make sure you let us know about your test results. I'm sure that you'll find you aren't pregnant!
