First off let me begin by saying I have had alot of throat problem. I had my tonsils removed at the age of 21, constantly battling strep. This time it is not a sore throat, it is getting aggravated because I keep trying to clear it because it feels goopy all the time. Sometimes I will spit out a clear slimy discharge. I do not smoke and try to drink enough water. Someone please advise it is driving me crazy... :?:

Throat Problem
I've got pretty much the same thing. It started two years ago when I was on a trip, I came down with a terrible cold, and ever since then, it feels like I have something stuck in the back of my throat, but sort of between my throat and my sinuses. I am constantly clearing my throat and swallowing, and in the morning I wake up with mucus that I have to spit out. Now, when I get a cold, it is more like bronchitis, and I get alot of mucus and terrible coughing. I went to a specialist who didn't do anything but tell me to stop talking and gave me a muscle relaxants for my throat. I really think this is all linked to gerd, since we seem to have all the symptoms from what I have read about it. I really sympathize with you because this is so annoying! Good luck!
