Ok, been on nuvaring for a total of 7 days, no side-effects, no moodiness, weight gain, irritability, nothing. My gag reflexes are pretty strong in the morning, but this morning, without brushing my teeth or anything, I had the urge to barf! Has this happened to anyone? I was able to control it, but I had no nausea, just the urge to purge my breakfast. Weird.

Sick
I have not been on nuvaring but I have taken birth control pills/patches for about 6 years and everytime I start a new pack or new pill I get really sick firts thing in the morning. I get nausea mixed with the urge to puke but I never actually do. I would give it a while for your body to get adjusted to the hormones. Usually my side effects subside after a week or so but everybody is different and has a different reaction to each form of bc. If it continues and it bothers you, you may want to try something differen after a moth or sot. But they say to give it a few months for your body to adjust to any new form of birth control. Stick in there, good luck.
