Some times im trying to go to sleep and I drift off, but then I become in this weird state...

Here goes the explaning

my eyes are closed and I cannot move my body, in my mind I can think freely but I cannot move my body, so I breathe quickly and eventually I can open my eyes and move my body again,

i have a terror feeling the whole time this is happening like if I let go and dont try and move my body I will die.

Anyone gone through anything like this or can you point me in any direction to help diagnos this?

Sounds like you have sleep paralysis. I can give you some tips to stopping it, but if they doesn't work you should see your doctor.

1) try getting plenty of sleep

2) reduce stress

3) exercise regularly (not too close to bedtime)

4) keep a regular sleep schedule

Yeah that sound like sleep paralysis. Its scary stuff hey but your not alone.

I get it with my eyes open and for me the terror feeling is associated with an evil presents in the room. Strange because i'm not a believer in the super natural, but in my episodes it feels so real.

I'll have to try a few of your tips lora316k
think I need to reduce the stress.
