Hi,

i am having pain near ribs tip. I get this pain when I sit in forward inclined position.. While reading a book for example... Otherwise I am okay.. Also, I feel fine if I change the position.

Any idea why this happens?

Thanks,
andy

Is it just at one point, or on the ends of all your ribs?

At one point..

Look at the diagram in the link

http://www.Mnsu.Edu/emuseum/biology/humana natomy/skeletal/sternum/sternum.Html - you will have to change capital h in html to small h for the link to work...It's not taking small h.. I don't know why?

I am having this pain at the point which is referred to as xiphoid process or tip in the diagram.

How old are you? When you're born a lot of the chest bones are not fused, but later do fuse as you grow up. Perhaps you have a problem with that if you're of the right age. Were you recently hit in that area? If the pain persists, don't mess around; go visit your doctor.

Well, that threw my theory out the window. Lol. I would give it a couple days, and if the pain persists, go visit your doctor.
