Alzheimers And Pain In Head? Posted: 11-29-05 17:46pm
My dad, 84, is in mid stages of
alzheimers. Last night he could not
sleep, and when my mom asked him what was
wrong he said his head didn't feel right.
He has trouble with his words, so not sure
if it was pain, pressure etc, but is this
common? He said it wasn't a headache, it
was a different kind of discomfort.
Just wondering if anyone else has had
similar experience, or input.
Thanks, andrea

In the beginning stages of the disease,
people will experience some mild memory
problems. As the disease progresses, it
becomes increasingly difficult to remember
events that occurred very recently-say,
the day before, or even just a few hours
prior to the present time. Memory loss at
this point looks more and more like
dementia: affected people may not = be
able to recall appropriate words.
Alzheimer’s disease is a progressive
disease. Its symptoms are memory
problems, confusion and disorientation,
depression, mood swing,inappropriate
behavior, hallucinations and delusions,
etc.
We represent mitamins, an on-line company
supplying customized vitamin supplements
to the usa. We hope this information may
be of interest to you.
Alzheimer's disease is a brain disorder
that occurs in the later years of life.
People with alzheimer’s develop
progressive loss of memory and gradually
lose the ability to function and to take
care of themselves.
Dr balch's nutritional team has created a
formula designed to build support and
protection for the entire nervous system.
Powerful botanicals used for improving
mental functions have been included in
large doses. Alongside major
anti-oxidants, a complete set of
nutritional components for effective brain
cell function is featured in this
comprehensive mix.
Acetyl l-carnitine and phosphatidylserine
have been shown to improve brain cell
communication and memory. Flaxseed
provides essential nutrients for normal
brain function. Ginkgo biloba benefits
brain circulation and memory and is also a
powerful antioxidant. Omega - 3 fatty
acids is a primary component of brain
neurons. Huperzine a and lecithin both
assist brain function and memory by
increasing acetylcholine brain levels.
Vitamin b complex 100, vitamin b12 and
thiamin are critical nutrients for normal
brain function. Vitamin e is a strong
antioxidant protecting the brain from free
radical damage. Ashwagandha is a potent
tonic for the brain. Both asian ginseng
and cordyseps are helpful for improving
memory. Nadh has been shown to improve
mental function. Antioxidant/complete
multivitamin mix helps to prevent cerebral
oxidative damage through total body
health.
Dr. Balch works with mitamins to provide
custom-made natural remedies for anyone
who wants an all-in-one daily supplement
that addresses all their health concerns,
as well as providing the vitamins and
minerals needed for optimum health and
wellness.
