I am a 20 year old female and have been on various birth control pills continuously for five years. For the last six months I was on ovcon-35, which is lower hormone and this past month I had some random spotting when there was about 10 days of active pills left. Usually when the day I stop taking ovcon-35 is the day I get my period, if not a day or two before the active pills are through. At the end of the last pill pack, without taking any placebos, I began taking tri-nessa for four days because I did not want to have my period over thanksgiving. On the ovcon-35 I was able to only take a week's worth of pills of a new pack right after finishing an old pack and then get my period immediately when I stopped the new pack after one week. I stopped taking tri-nessa after the four days so that I could get my period, and it has been four days since then and I have had some very minor cramping and no period.

I am slightly concerned about this missing period combined with the odd spotting in the middle of my previous pill pack. Does anyone have any experience with this sort of situation?
