Q: When Will It Be My Turn???

Ok, my period was supposed to start saturday.. And sometimes its a day or two late, but today it is tuesday morning now and I still have no period.
I was on birth control for about 2 years and I went off about 5 months ago and my husband and I decided we would just let pregnancy happen when it happened. Well for the past 2 months we've actually been trying to get pregnant and its getting frustrating..Lol. But my period has been pretty regular since ive gone off the pill. My husband and are are both 21 and I graduate rn school may 5, 2006 and we want a baby sooo bad now! He is going to be a stay at home dad while I work full time as a nurse :)

now I took a first response pregnancy test yesterday morning when I woke up and it was negative. Does this mean my period is late or could I still be pregnant? My breast and nipples usually get so tender before my period that I can't even touch them, but right now they don't hurt at all. My face broke out like it usually does a week before my period but now its cleared up and it usually keeps breaking out until after my period (one or two pimples is breaking out for me) but now my face is completely clear wich is weird. Usually around my period my lower back hurts but I don't get stomach cramps.. My back hasn't hurt at all but I have been having some minor abdominal cramps in the lower abdomen and on my left side. Also I have felt kind of constipated although ive been having regular bowl movements.

Sooo my question is , with a negative urine test, could I still be pregnant? Should I go to the doctor and get a blood test? Thanks for the help

Extremely eHealthy
Sometimes pregnant women cant pass a hpt, and you can get a urine test from your doctor.

I think you are stressing yourself out way too early.....I didn't start stressing until 18 months had went by. You have only been trying 2 months. Stress can cause your period to be late, as well as affect ovulation. It takes "normal" couples sometimes 1 year to conceive. My hubby and I got preg with my son the second month. Now we are ttc #2 and have been trying over 2 years, even used fertility drugs with no success. I have handed this one up to god. Just don't worry. My sister took 8 months to conceive her first.

:? Question... I had been on the shot for exactly 2 years. My last shot was in may so it's been almost 7 months on 12-25. I have had 3 periods. And even 2 in one month because I was wrongly fired from a wonderful job- it caused alot of stress and now i've beed spotting for a week now-very light w/ no cramping so everythings off. I've been taking vitamins that help regulate hormonal balance and taking the pre-natals.
How much longer do I have to wait-it's driving me crazy!!!

I would have to say you probably aren't pregnant. It is probably stress delaying your period. I have never had a regular cycle, but it gets really crazy when I have alot of stress.

My period once was 2 weeks late and even though I had a negative hpt I was still worried about being pregnant because it had never been that late before. I guess it was just one of those cycles that went off. If you think that you could still be pregnant then go to the doctors and have a blood test done to be sure. But it could be stress from worrying so much about getting pregnant and being frustrated with no result. But like the others said its only been 2 months and some couples go months and months without getting pregnant. As hard as it may be maybe you need to take a step back and concentrate on finishing school first, get your mind off of it for awhile, because the cliche saying is true when you stop trying you usually get results.
