I have a problem where everytime I swollow or yawn, my ears fill with fluid(i'm gussing) and to get it out, I have to sniff my nose. What could be the cause of this and what can I do?

Ear plugged for years
I have had fluid in my right ear for years... since I had a bad cold in the 90s. I have hearing loss in that ear. I can't hear low tones at all. Everything else is muffled. Have been to ear doctors... they just want to give me drugs to dry out the fluid. That doesn't work. Any suggestions? Do I need a stent in that ear to get the fluid out?
