Hi I am a single mom of four girls clare who just turned sixteen been my oldest. She weights over 200 lbs because of a metabolic problem and also has health issues making surgey a problem. She has size 40dd breasts, is incontinent and her posture is really poor. The clothes she wants to wear tight tops straight skirts jeans etc really look bad on her. I make her wear longline support bras and support panty girdles made into diaper pants with a vinal rubber lineing, I have tried pads and she is to big for them in her waist and hips. I also insist she wear only frilly dresses and skirts to cover up the bulges and make it easier for myself or her fourteen year sister to change her. When she tried to change herself she did not do it properly and ended up with diaper rash on her bum so I now insist she be changed by her sister or myself. She attends an all girls school which I teach at and wears a jumper which I had to have specially made. At the moment she hates me and I am at my wits end any suggestions would be welcomed

I'm confused. Why is she in diapers?
As someone who was sixteen not long ago, I understand that it's hard when you want one thing and your mother wants the other. The fact that she "hates" you does not surprise me. I'm not saying that you're doing anything wrong, not at all. You're right in wanting to keep her from looking ridiculous. I would reccomend telling her in a nice and delicate manner. Try something like "it's not very flattering" or "something else might look better." I feel that it's important to be honest. She needs to understand why she shouldn't wear the tight shirts and the straight-line skirts. Make her understand that she doesn't have to look like a super-model, but other clothing may look better on her. I'm not sure what you mean by frilly dresses, but I understand why she wouldn't like it.
You say she has a metabolic problem. How is her diet? Feel free to go into details, because you've just sparked my interest. Send me a pm if you'd like.

I understand why she may not fancy you her mother at the moment, most teenager girls find it hard to take the suggestions of their mother because she may feel like you dont really care you are just trying to keep her from doing what she really wants to do. As for the tight tops and straight line skirts, I think that you should approach it by just taking her to different stores. I was over 200 lbs and a friend of mine took me to old navy. They sell fashionable clothes. Tell her to jump on that because they are nice and afforable for you.

Coming from a 15 year old male, being a teenager is no breeze. I think the worst thing to do is force her to wear the clothes you want her to. I'm no lightweight, but I wear what looks good to me, what more matters? And sometimes you have to stick your hand in the fire to figure things out. Good luck
