My children really want a kitten for christmas, the problem is that i'm allergic to them and just thinking about it makes feel like I can't breathe.
It's hard for my family to understand since nobody has allergies but me.
Any suggestions? Has any one heard that siamese are hypoallerginic?

Cats And Allergies
When cats clean themselves, they are licking their hair. This hair is crystallized with their saliva and it flakes off and is floating around in your air. People are allergic to pet dander and the flaked off hair whether it be a short or long haired cat. I had 2 cats indoors and thought that my sore throat and runny nose were perfectly normal till I tried an air purification system in my home. After about a week, my throat was no longer sore and my nose was fine. I hope your kids can get a kitty for christmas. If I had known I could feel this good with indoor pets, I would have got a unit a long time ago. If you would like to evaluate one in your home, let me know. This is a whole home unit. Not the ones advertised on t.V. For only one room. Let me know if I can help. Merry christmas!

My dad and I both have more trouble with siamese cats than any other!!!!! Don't get one!!! You shouldn't put your health and life at risk just to satisfy a desire that should soon pass. Look at it this way... If you get one, it's going to hurt them more when you are forced to get rid of it. Isn't there a pet that everyone can agree on?
