Is it ever ok for a recovering drug addict to have a few drinks?
Yes, alcohol is ok because "It wasn't my drug of choice & alot of recovering addicts have a few now & then"
Never, to be serious about your recovery, you can never have a drink again.

I have been told by more than a few recovering addicts/alcoholics that alcohol is something that you can never touch again as a recovering addict/alcoholic. But my step-daughter who is a recovering addict told me today that alot of recovering addicts have a couple of drinks "every once & awhile". She is planning on having a few drinks on new years eve. She will celebrate 2 years clean & sober next march.

Drug Rehab and Alcohol?
I am going to say no. Because from what I have read on sites like the one National Treatment Centers puts out is that once your an addict your always an addict. It is just part of who you are. But who am I to see not to do something in life. You only live once. If you want a drink have one. I think that addiction just means you have an addictive personality or something like that.
