Ok so I took another hpt this morning (almost a full week after missing 2nd period) and it was still a bfn!!! What is going on!! I have soo many symptoms besides missed cycles and my acne has taken a turn for the worse, I sprouted three new zits in the span of the day yesterday! Any way, I am hoping my Dr. Will call me back tomorrow and maybe have me come in, because I am all out of patience and ideas, and I think my fiance is getting a little mad too cause he just keeps saying, the tests are neg, give it up for now... But he doesnt know how I feel (you know men) in side my body. So I am trying to keep hope but I am also trying not to get my hopes up now either, cause I should be almost 9 weeks if preggy and no positive hpt in sight. Any one have advice??? Thanks, kelly j.

Somtimes whenever some women are pregnant the home pregnancy test doesnt work for them maybe try a blood test or go and get a ultrasound done

I am in the same boat. My period is a very on time thing. And I was suppose to start the 11th...Didnt. I took one the other day and it was negative  I think people should inform the doc and nurses that say these things are so reliable.

I agree, those tests are accurate for the majority but there are others it won't work for and they should say that on the box so women don't go crazy out of their minds, lol. I know I am at my wits end. I actually posted my concerns about my neg. Hpt on another site as well, and the women there wont believe that u can be a few months pregnant and get a neg, so I felt verry unsupported there (weather that is my case or not, it happens to people) and they were all saying that "if" I was really pregnant I would have had a positive like 10-16 days after I ovulated, and my body must be playing tricks on me. I know that can happen but I really dont feel like that is my case. I think I am pregnant and if I am not then I probably have a cyst or something that is causing all these sxs and I am hoping to find out soon. But I thank everyone here for being more open minded and supportive, and giving their personal experiences, it has helped me greatly. Thanks and keep the replys coming. Kelly j.

Extremely eHealthy
Some women never pass the urine tests, some even smaller majority do not pass the blood .H.C.G. Hormone imbalances, or protein in urine, or thyroid over working or under working. I also heard if you eat too much cabbage you will get false positive results, isnt that interesting.

But I would def recommend going to .Dr asap, cuz other things have been known to stop a womans period.

Good luck

Kelly j,
i read your first post and I know exactly what you are going through. About 4 years ago I wasn't ttc, but I got pregnant. I knew that my body felt different, but all of my hpt's were bfn. I even went to the doctor and was tested, but still, I tested bfn. I had all of the symptoms of pregnancy so I couldn't understand why I showed a bfn. Finally, at 10 weeks pregnant I miscarried. The point to this story is that you could be pregnant and it not show up on your test. Ask your doctor about a quantitative hcg blood test to see your exact levels of hcg in your blood stream. That is one of the most reliable things that you could do, except maybe an ultrasound. My husband and I are ttc #1 right now and I have been having everything from light cramping a few days after ovulation, nausea and headaches every few days, and although my breasts don't hurt very bad, the veins across my breasts are more visible and my montgomery glands have increased in number and enlarged. The only problem is that I once again can't get a bfp on my hpt. The first day of my last period was oct. 18. I guess only time will tell. I just hope that I don't have another miscarriage. Good luck and I hope you get a bfp!

Amy

Amy I am sorry for your loss and I am hoping that this time you will get a bfp and it will keep. I only have the rest of tonight and the early morning to wait and hopefully my Dr. Will call early and at least send me for a blood test tomorrow and maybe even see me tomorrow or the next day. And maybe we can finally get to the bottom of this. Here's to good thoughts :d kelly j.
