I too am 5 weeks pregnant and experiencing
cramps. My cramps are only on my right
lower abdominal side and they are more
sharp then cramp. Like getting a cramp
from running in your ribs, they are sharp.
They only last about 10 seconds and they
come when I use my abdominal muscles,
occasionally when I cough or sneeze, and
when I pee. More often just random but
sometimes in the above conditions. They
are not severe, only twice have they had
me bend over for a few seconds from a
cough attack. Also they have come less
often in the past 2 days. I'm really
worried. Doctor said she may or may not
be able to see me in a couple days which
is not reassuring. Anyone with same
experience or knowledge?

Sounds like round ligament pains, some
women speak of them. It is not
miscarriage pains, they would be in the
middle and radiate outward and to the back
possibly. It's okay.

Im ttc and am expecting my period any day
now and have been experieancing the same
as you. I have sharp pains in my lower
abdomin and they go round to my back.
Dont want to get too excited for fear that
it is the dreaded period.
Out of curiosity, how early did you do a
test?

I tested the day my period was due, on
thanksgiving and it was positive. And I
am still having those cramps. They are
still not sure if it is ectopic cause it
is to early. They willk now when I have
another ultrasound tuesday. I have a
large cyst the size of a baseball on my
left ovary but the pain is on the right so
they are confused they don't see anything
indicating an ectopic on the right. They
see a sac in the uteris but they said
there will be a sac weather or not the
baby is in the uteris. But they said
they also think they see the yolk but not
sure and are retesting tuesday.
