Could I Be Pregnant?
Posted: 11-26-05 22:25pm

I posted this in the "getting pregnant" forum, but i'm not getting any responses. I would love some advice!!

Hello! I am a new user and have been browsing around and decided to ask for some advice. Forgive me if I sound a bit naive.

I stopped taking birth control a few months ago for no specific reason. Since then, my husband and I have been using condoms every time we have sex to avoid the possibility of getting pregnant. But earlier this week things got hot and heavy, and we ended up having unprotected sex. The next morning I realized that there might be a chance I could get pregnant so I started doing research online. I found an ovulation calculator on www.Babycenter.Com and it turns out I am supposed to be ovulating nov. 22-27. We had unproteced sex on the 23rd. I'm not supposed to start my period for another week and a half, but I would like to know as soon as possible.

Is there a good chance that I may be pregnant? How soon can I tell?

Although my husband and I weren't planning on having a baby anytime soon, and the better part of me would be relieved if I wasn't pregnant, we would both be excited if it happened!

Yes there is a strong possibility that you could be pregnant as you had sex aorund ovulation time! You could test up to 5 days before your period with certain tests but I would wait to see if it comes and then if not, test! Good luck!
