Don't Agree With Psyics Opinion What About Yours?
Posted: 11-23-05 09:25am

Been depressed, dsthymic, meloncholic, negative as it was said back then since childhood. Now 46 yrs old and have become much more socially removed. Don't like to be around people and never have. Don't like to talk but don't mind listening. Have only a few friends. Family and other friends have been alienated over the years. Tend to blow up over stupid things even knowing that they are stupid. Was called major depressive with dsythmia by my psyc. Been on almost every anti-depressant known and the only thing that helped was when I was given abilify or respirdal to help subdue my easily brought on irritability and anger bouts. Although effexor at high doses helped some what but I was losing my hair, no pun intended, from it. I'm leaning towards bipolar but my dr doesn't agree. Why are the anti-psychotic drugs the only ones that really brought about any major change in me? Seems there's a clue there somewhere. What's your opinions?

I can relate to this problem. Used to be like this too. Until I found a purpose in life and kept focusing on it until I forgot about the problem. They key is to find yours. I'm sure it's there, u just need to try harder. Friends will be able to help, provided you're willing to open up.

I also seek help from selfhelp books and read some stress related sites. Lastly, getting more exercise helps!

The walls have been up for many years and many reasons. I've never let but maybe 2 people in those walls in all my life. Tyring to let them in enough now to have them help make a difference would be an awfull large mountain to climb but I know I need to try. Thanks for the support.
