Q: Possible Period Problems... And Leading to Other Problems?

Hi i'm new on here. I'm 16 and started my period when I was 12. I've always been irregular. It's only been a few times when i've been following the monthly cycle. But sometimes I get some blood for one day and it stops. Even that is rare. My last period was in august.

I am currently dating my first boyfriend for almost a year now. We like to take things slow. I have never had sex. He has never put his finger in me. We've never been full on naked in front of each other. Sometimes when we are kissing, he gets on top of me (with clothes on). But when I get home, I have extremely bad cramps. In fact, it sometimes feels like i'm on my period, minus the bleeding.

Are these somehow interrelated? Did I rupture something? I really don't want to tell my parents about it because I don't want them to think my boyfriend is bad (because he's definately not), and I don't want them to think less of him. I have never been to a gynecologist. I haven't gone to my doctor for a long time. Would I need to see one of them? What should I do?

Any suggestions would be much appreciated :)

Hi, im not sure I have the answers to your problems but I remember being your age (im 23) having period problems and I didnt know who to talk to either so I know how you feel! Theres generally nothing wrong with irregular periods and I used to go a couple of months without one too although I dont have much experience in just bleeding for one day then stopping. I definitely dont think by your boyfriend just laying on you that you have ruptured anything so try not to worry. If this is really beginning to concern you why not make an appointment at your local clinic (most clinics have a nurse you can see if you prefer that instead of a doctor) and just ask about the problems that you are having I am sure they will be able to put you at ease! Hope this has helped alittle.
