I am not sure what you mean by slowing down, but often I feel like a sinking feelng right before my heart starts pounding. I also have a lot of different chest pains/sensations - I went to the dr and he said that there was nothing wrong with my heart. You should go to the dr to make sure there is nothing wrong with your heart and then it will be easier to deal with the sensations because you have already been checked out.

Mine seems like it changes paces a lot. One minute it will be pounding then it feels like it isn't beating at all or it's really slow. I just went to the Dr. Last night and had a bunch of tests and my heart patterns were basically normal, so it's probably anxiety. And I have chest pain all the time, along with heart attack symptoms but when I said I felt like I was having a heart attack the Dr. Kind of smirked and said she thought 20 was a little young to be getting a heart attack, but did lots of tests anyway and sent me home with xanax.

I suffer from panic attacks and sometimes my heart slows right down too its weird then it beats like mad !!!!! ....

I used to have panic attacks but I did not realize that I was not breathing properly with them.

Yeah its the breathing that starts all other symptoms off
