Q: Is This Normal?

Hey,
i had a scan on friday and we saw a baby! We also seen the flickering heart! And heard the heartbeat!!!!
The midwife said I was 6 weeks and thats why we couldnt really see anything on the past scans. The baby is 5.4 milimeters and she said everythings fine.
I've got another scan in 6 weeks! I dont no how ill cope untill then! I just want to know that everythings fine! But im still scared?

Does hearing hte heartbeat this early on reduces the chances of misscariage??
