I have had this pain for a couple of months now. It never goes away. It even hard to get any rest. The only way I can lessen the pain is to take darvocet. The pain is on my left side and runs down to my stomach area. It feels like a knife is stabbing me in the ribs to my stomach. If anyone can relate to this problem please respond. Thanks

?
Does it feel like the pain is behind your rib cage? If so it could be severe asthma....I know it sounds dumb...But I use to have really severe pain in the same area....And I found out it was my lungs contracting and it hurts rele rele bad....I donno I could be wrong...

Left Side Pain And Swelling
Has anybody had swelling with the pain? In may on a cruise to alaska, I had a body wrap and the technician noticed a lump on the top of my rib cage on the upper left hand side. She asked if I had any previous problems here. I didn't even notice it until she mentioned it!

Over the last couple of days it has swollen up and I am getting pain at this site now.

Can't get in to see my dr for 2 weeks and am wondering what this might be now.

Any suggestions?
